From the heights of its mountainous interior, down through old-world villages and on to the sparkling shoreline where tourist resorts of varying sizes cater for visitors, the island is certain to please families, groups and couples looking to enjoy some famed Greek hospitality - not to mention a good dose of sunshine.
There are many tourist resorts on the strangely shaped island of Corfu (think a smaller Italy, with a slightly broken leg) and nowhere is too far away from the airport, which is smack in the middle of the east coast.
Corfu Town offers an interesting holiday, with the Old and New Towns contributing differing perspectives for visitors.
On the east coast are the beaches and resorts of Benitses, Kontokali, Dassia, Nissaki and energetic Ipsos.
In the north you'll find Sidari, Roda and Kassiopi, while out west are Paleokastritsa, Glyfada, Arillas and St George, also known as Agios Georgios. Also in the west is delightful Pelekas, which is renowned for its spectacular sunset views.
Party capital Kavos is on the island's south coast.
