Known as the Emerald Isle for its lush green interior, the Greek island of Corfu has been a haven for holidaying Brits for some years and the shine simply cannot be taken off this jewel of the Mediterranean Sea.

Party capital Kavos is on the island's south coast.

Corfu flights are frequent during the spring, summer and autumn, though you'll have to fly via Athens (ATH) if you wish to visit the island during winter.
