The UK has seen an explosion of air services to Poland.
Cheap flights are offered from all over the UK to cater for the huge number of ex-pats travelling to and from both countries.
Poland flights are available from many UK airports and you can fly into Warsaw (WAW), Gdansk (GDN), Wroclaw (WRO), Krakow (KRK), Katowice (KTW), Lodz (LCJ), Rzeszow (RZE), Szezecin (SZZ) or Bydogoszcz (BZG).
Ryanair operates a huge number of flights to Poland from their many UK bases. Destinations such as Warsaw, Katowice, Krakow and Gdansk are joined by Szczecin, Rzeszow, Poznan, Bydgoszcz, Lodz, Wroclaw and Lublin. Wizzair, another low-cost carrier, flies into Gdansk, Warsaw, Poznan, Katowice, Wroclaw and Lublin from Luton, along with several services from Liverpool, Doncaster and Glasgow Prestwick. In addition, easyJet flies into Krakow from several of its UK bases, while Polish Airlines, the state carrier, flies to Warsaw with onwards connections to other Polish cities from London's Heathrow, along with British Airways.
Flights take around two to three hours dependent on where you're travelling from and to, unless you take a connecting flight via London, Paris, Amsterdam or Germany where the connection can easily double the flying time.
The peak period for tourism in the country is during the summer months, particularly July and August, and these are the times when the cities are at their busiest. From December to March the ski season is at its height.
