Ocean Village cruises motto, 'The cruise for people who don't do cruises' just about sums it up. You won't find any of the stuffiness that sometimes goes with traditional cruises, just a laid-back atmosphere where you can do as much or as little as you please. There are no formal dress codes or fixed timetables so you can wear what you want and eat when you want. Ocean Village cruises offer a selection of seven and fourteen night port intensive fly-cruises in the Caribbean and Mediterranean where the emphasis is on making the most of your time ashore with action packed excursions. » More Info
Facilities & Activities
The original Ocean Village ship and Ocean Village Two are the biggest and best equipped cruise ships in their class providing top class onboard facilities. Each ship has swimming pools, a well-equipped gym, exercise classes and deck spaces designated for joggers. Both ships offer full-service spas with saunas and steam rooms. The Karma Spa on Ocean Village Two is the biggest afloat for a ship of its class. In terms of activities, you can learn to juggle or fly on a trapeze in circus workshops whilst mountain bikes can be hired for trips ashore. Whatever your idea of a great night, you'll find it onboard. There is a great choice of bars from cool Martini hangouts to late-night haunts. Catch a stand-up comedian or a Robbie Williams tribute act or check out a cutting-edge dance show. And don't miss the spectacular laser deck show where acrobats perform 40 feet above the pool. Then, hit the casino for a turn at the tables and late night drinks.
Accommodation
There are four basic categories of well-appointed cabins onboard (Inside, Outside, Balcony and Suite) to suit every budget, so whether you just want somewhere to crash out or fancy travelling in style in a cabin with your own private balcony then you'll find exactly what you want. There are also a number of family cabins with three and four beds.
Dining
In keeping with the whole easy-going Ocean Village cruise philosophy, when or where and with whom you eat is entirely up to you. There are no set meal times, fixed seating plans or formal dress codes so you can leave the tuxedo and tiara at home. Dining is mostly buffet-style and dishes lean toward British favourites with a sprinkling of Mediterranean and Asian influenced items for variety. Alternative dining spots with waiter service include The Bistro with menus inspired by celebrity chef James Martin.
For the Family
Ocean Village cruises holidays are designed to be super child friendly. Cruises welcome youngsters of all ages with enthusiastic, fully qualified youth staff on hand at the Base Camp centre. Kids can enjoy ballparks, Playstations, films, games and activities and the centre includes a special outdoor family play area with netted railings and a paddling pool.
