Dining
A feast of daily culinary delights are freshly prepared by Marco Polo's expert chefs at the impressive Waldorf Restaurant. Whilst breakfasts and lunches are generally served on an open seating basis, two fixed time sittings are operated daily for buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition to this there are the afternoon teas, late night snacks and the traditional shipboard occasions such as the Captain's Welcome and Farewell Dinners.
Facilities & Activities
Marco Polo can accommodate up to 850 guests and has eight passenger decks offering a wide range of public facilities. Out on deck, there's a swimming pool, three whirlpools and a traditional walk around promenade. The Jade Wellness Centre offers hairdressing and beauty treatments, fitness and exercise equipment, and sauna and massage facilities. After dinner there are five lounge areas to choose from including the theatre style Marco Polo Lounge where the show team will display their talents in a revue or colourful floorshow. Other lounges include the elegant Captain's Club, a perfect venue for pre-dinner cocktails with the resident pianist, the relaxing Palm Garden with wonderful panoramic ocean views and the stylish Columbus Lounge. Alternatively, you can enjoy a few hands of cards in the Nansen Lounge Card Room.
Accommodation
There is a good choice of cabin accommodation available and 70% of cabins have an ocean view. Cabins range from standard, superior, premium and deluxe priced generally according to position, size and the facilities available. Higher graded deluxe accommodation is more spacious and has the added benefit of sitting areas and large panoramic ocean views.
Cruise Programme
Marco Polo's home port is the London Cruise Terminal in Tilbury and her cruise programme includes a varied selection of excellent value sailings to the Norwegian Fjords, the North Cape, the Baltics, Iceland and closer to home the ever popular round Britain cruises. Durations range from just six to 12 nights plus there is a wonderful 32 night cruise to the Caribbean. During the winter season Marco Polo, with her ice strengthened hull will be sailing to Antarctica for a series of expedition-style cruises, through the Panama Canal and around South American and the Caribbean.
