Costa Allegra
Originally built in the late 60’s, Costa Allegra has been a part of the Costa Cruises fleet since 1992 and is the smallest ship in the fleet together with sister ship, Costa Marina. She is known for her exceptional light and airy feel due to the panoramic windows at her stern, which are the backdrop to many of her public areas including the Flamenco ballroom and Montmartre restaurant. Fully refurbished in 2006, her contemporary interiors have been inspired by famous impressionist artists such as Gaugin, Van Gogh, Degas and Matisse with elegant works of art found throughout the ship. more info ›
Carrying only around 800 passengers, Costa Allegra’s eight decks are full of facilities for the whole family. Her three-storey high glass atrium is the centre of the ship, topped off with a glass dome with 360-degree views of the sky. Her recent refurbishment included the addition of two new restaurants bringing the total number of dining venues to three including the casual Yacht Club Buffet, the stylish oceanview Montmartre Restaurant and an à la carte reservation only restaurant. She also has six bars plus a theatre, casino and glass-domed nightclub. During the day there are three swimming pools to choose from plus a full-service Spa recently extended to include a gym, treatment rooms and sauna. For kids there is Costa’s trademark Squok Club and a children’s splash pool.
