Entering service in April 2007, Emerald Princess is a member of Princess Cruises ‘Gem Class’ of liners, a modified version of their ‘Grand Class’. Although very similar to her Grand Class cousins, the main design differences are that she has an additional deck of staterooms to carry more passengers and lacks the ‘rear spoiler’ as the Skywalkers nightclub has been relocated to just behind the funnel, rather than suspended over the stern.
