Royal Caribbean International

Freedom of the Seas was the first member of Royal Caribbean’s spectacular Freedom class of ships when she launched in 2006 and revolutionised the world of ‘mega-ship’ cruising. Since then she has been joined by sister ships Liberty of the Seas and Independence of the Seas and for some time, at nearly 160,000 tons, together they were the largest, most exciting cruise ships ever to have been built until Royal Caribbean’s own new 220,000-ton Oasis Class ship, Oasis of the Seas, took that mantle when she launched in late 2009. more info ›
As you’d expect, Freedom of the Seas is packed with amazing onboard features. Her 15 decks offer a huge variety of dining, entertainment and accommodation options plus a host of innovative features including industry firsts such as cantilevered whirlpools extending beyond the sides of the ship, the H2O Zone interactive water park and FlowRider, the world’s first onboard surf park. Other highlights include a rock climbing wall, ice-skating rink and Royal Promenade, a 445ft street running through the ship lined with shops, 24-hour dining, pubs and wine bars.
