£33 a day. Thats the potential cost of turning up at Gatwick airport and trying to leave your car there while youre on holiday without having booked parking. Booking your Gatwick airport parking with us can save you up to 60 per cent our prices for a week normally start from around £50. And weve got a wide range of parking on offer, from great-value budget options to meet and greet parking where everythings done for you.
All our Gatwick car parks are fully secured. Measures can include CCTV, entry and exit barriers, fences, floodlighting and regular patrols. Almost all our Gatwick car parks have the Park Mark, a national security award for car parks accredited by the police.
Airparks is normally our best value car park at Gatwick and its not just the price which makes it popular. You dont even have to find your own space - your cars parked for you and the 24-hour shuttle bus takes you to and from the airport, which is about four miles away. The bus is free to customers, and takes just 10 to 15 minutes; and it runs to both terminals, so Airparks is a good choice if youre not sure which one youre flying from.
An on-airport car park is one which is within the airport grounds and run by the airport itself, and there are several of these at Gatwick. Long Stay and Summer Special tend to be the cheaper options youre still a bus ride away from check-in, although youre so close it only takes five minutes. As with Airparks, bus transfers are included in the price. The Short Stay car parks tend to be more expensive, but theyre highly convenient as theyre within walking distance of check-in. Each on-airport car park only provides transfers to one terminal theres a Long Stay and a Short Stay car park at both the North and South terminals, and the Summer Special car park also serves the North terminal.
The most convenient option of all is Meet and Greet parking you dont even have to park your own car. A chauffeur collects it from you outside the terminal, takes it to a secured car park for you, and brings it back to the terminal for you when you return from holiday.
Relaxed, excited and looking forward to some sunshine - thats how you should be feeling at the start of a holiday. But its difficult to feel anything other than sleepy and lethargic when youve got up at 2am to drive to the airport not to mention worried about getting stuck in a traffic jam and missing your flight altogether. A far better bet is to book one of our Gatwick hotels with parking so you can enjoy a good nights sleep before you fly with no worries about not making your plane in the morning. And with everything from cute two-star guesthouses to swanky four-star establishments, were bound to have something to suit both your budget and your tastes.
If you want to be as close to check-in as you can, the Sofitel at the North terminal and the Hilton at the South terminal are both connected to the check-in halls by covered walkways. But once youre inside, you wouldnt know you were at an airport at all just a very luxurious hotel. The Sofitel has three restaurants, two bars, a mini-gym and plenty of family rooms: its very child-friendly. The Hilton has two restaurants, two bars, a coffee shop and a gym; all rooms have satellite TV and free internet access.
If you need something slightly more budget-friendly but almost as close, the popular Courtyard by Marriott and not one but two Premier Inns are all also within the airport grounds.
There are plenty of options for what to do with your car while youre on holiday. You can leave it in the hotel car park, or you can take it to one of our secured car parks. Its easier to leave your car at the hotel, but some customers prefer the extra security features of a secured car park. Its also worth remembering that transfers to and from the terminal are always included in the price with our secured car parks, whereas if youre leaving your car at the hotel, you may have to pay extra for transport to and from the terminal.
Would you rather start your holiday in a crowded, noisy departures hall full of short-tempered travellers, or a peaceful, quiet private lounge full of food, drink and fun things to keep you entertained? Its a no-brainer you want the first few hours of your holiday to be as pleasant and relaxed as possible. So book one of our Gatwick airport lounges and turn your time in the terminal into something to look forward to.
Our most luxurious Gatwick airport lounges are the No 1 Lounges theres one at both terminals. They both have their own spa, so you can start your holiday with a relaxing treatment (though these aren't included in the price). There are also board games and table football to play with, as well as free wifi, free newspapers and magazines which you can take away, and flatscreen TVs. If you fancy splashing the cash, you can even book a personal shopper to take you round the World Duty Free store.
As for food, you can help yourself to anything from the table of snacks, or order free hot food, including warm bacon or sausage rolls, soup, Welsh rarebits and poached eggs with a variety of accompaniments. There's also a more extensive menu of dishes you can pay for, including Thai green curry, salmon pasta and a burger.
There's also a Servisair lounge at both terminals, though at the North terminal it's called the Aspire lounge, and at South terminal one is called the Lingfield lounge. Both offer free wifi, flatscreen TVs, newspapers and magazines, and free hot and cold soft and alcoholic drinks. There's breakfast in the Aspire lounge until 10am, including hot bacon rolls (until 9.30am), pastries, yogurt and fruit. From 11am there's fresh soup, and from 2.30pm to 6pm there's afternoon tea. There's continental breakfast in the mornings in the Lingfield lounge, as well as biscuits, crisps, nuts and pretzels throughout the day.
Children are welcome in all our Gatwick lounges - children under 12 don't pay full price, and entry is free for under-twos in the Servisair lounges. All our Gatwick lounges are also accessible to disabled customers.
