Do's

Do be realistic in what you are trying to achieve - don't overstretch yourself
Do set a clear budget and stick to it
Do explore a range of options for booking your multi leg flights in an area of the world - low cost and airpasses may be a cost effective option
Do be clear in where you really want to go and what you want to do

Don'ts

Don't travel on a circuitous route to get to a destination, take direct flights where possible and do your bit for the environment
Don't set off without doing research beforehand - arriving in a strange land with no idea where you are going is a recipe for disaster
