North America and Canada

The USA & Canada are classic touring countries, with some of the most stunning landscapes in the world. The continent is so vast that you can only glimpse what it has to offer on any one visit.

From the Rockies to the Niagara Falls, the eastern seaboard of New York and Boston to the Pacific coasts of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver, the scenery is ever changing as well as greatly varying climates and local cultures.

Places to visit on a fly drive or touring holiday

There are some classic areas to visit:

  • New England - the area from New York to Boston known for it's stunning colours as the trees turn to golden in the autumn or 'Fall'

  • The Canadian Rockies - Banff, Calgary, Lake Louise, Jasper and Vancouver - incredible mountainous scenery on Canada's West Coast

  • California & Nevada - America's west coast highway anchored by LA and San Francisco, an area of national parks and with Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon on your doorstep

  • The South - New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville - all full of Southern charm and the home of Jazz and Country Music as well as Elvis!

  • Eastern Canada - Toronto & Niagara Falls, Ottawa and the French Canadian cities of Quebec and Montreal. Plus the stunning tranquillity of the islands spreading to the Atlantic and north to the Artic.

  • Florida - from theme parks to the Florida Keys, from the Space Centre to the Everglades - this state has got it all!

There are many other exciting and interesting areas to visit - Washington DC and Philadelphia, Texas, the Carolinas, 'Twin Peaks' country of Washington State and the vast Mid West to name but a few.

Taking a fly drive is more suitable for an individual area unless you want to drive long distances - in North America these can be very long!  An escorted tour is suitable for both small and large itineraries.
