Cottage holidays in the New Forest
Made famous when William the Conqueror made his mark here in 1079 by naming the area his 'new hunting forest', almost 1000 years on, the New Forest in Hampshire is just as great a place to visit as it was then. It's an area ready for exploring whether on foot, cycling or even on horseback. It's a living working place where ponies and cattle freely graze the land whilst deeper into the forest wild deer can be spotted. The New Forest area has it all with many museums, stately homes and heritage centres, not to mention a variety of great places to eat with classic restaurants, traditional English pubs and pretty tea rooms. Seasonal, fresh local food is on offer and by buying and eating the local produce, this special forest can help to support local farmers and small businesses. Renting a holiday cottage here is a great way to recharge your batteries - allowing you to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of country life at your leisure.
Cottage holidays in Brighton
Brighton is one of the most exciting seaside towns in the UK with it's cosmopolitan atmosphere, great beaches, hundreds of restaurants and vibrant nightlife. Quaint, curious and compact, with its Regency architecture, street cafes, the pleasure pier and wonderful Pavillion it's little wonder why tourists return to this area year after year. Based around Brighton are a wide variety of holiday cottages - from small houses right through to luxury properties and those ideal for large families, groups of friends or stag and hen parties.
The Sussex Downs form the backdrop to Brighton and here you'll find classic English countryside - from the picturesque villages of Alfriston, Lindfield and Petworth, famous gardens of Leonardslee, Nyman's and Borde Hill to the historic houses of Great Dixter, Parham and Standen, there's so much to see and do.
Further afield, visit the castles of Hever, Leeds and Arundel or the historic towns of Lewes, Chichester or Royal Tunbridge Wells - a great place to take a breather from the hustle and bustle of busy Brighton.
Cottage holidays in the Isle of Wight
Take the ferry ride from Portsmouth and discover the quaint little island of the Isle of Wight. In a beautiful setting of unspoilt scenery you'll find lots of attractions for all ages and interests - and for the more active there's windsurfing, sailing, cycling and walking.
The whole island has a laid-back atmosphere and with over half the island designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty it's easy to take it all in and relax. Renting a holiday cottage is a wonderful way to experience the island's many great restaurants, pubs, art galleries and historic houses.
