Scotland is one of the most distinctive areas of the UK with a whole range of unique sights, sounds and experiences that you will not find anywhere else in Great Britain. Famed for its hospitality and welcome to visitors, you are sure to have a great holiday in Scotland.
Scotland has mountains, rivers, beaches, forests, islands, heaps of history and monuments, Royal Palaces, National Parks, incredible wildlife and fishing just as starters.
Caravan Parks and Holiday Parks are located throughout the country, although they tend to be located along the coasts where there are excellent sandy beaches. There are a number along the south west coast from Ayr through to the Solway Firth or around Seton Sands and the Inverness area to the east. Others are located inland or within the highlands themselves. There are also a number of holiday hotels within the region offering a full range of activities.
When selecting a caravan or holiday park in Scotland do bear in mind the distances some of these will be from major cities and attractions and that many of the roads off the main routes are not fast. A small price to pay for the relative quietness of this beautiful country!

Edinburgh & Glasgow
The city of Edinburgh is world renowned for its annual festival in the summer as well as the New Year celebrations which are some of the best attended anywhere in the UK. The many lochs and fells provide excellent surroundings for sailing and walking as well as mountain biking and cycling.
Glasgow has been reborn as a centre of style and vitality set against a backdrop of outstanding Victorian architecture. With fantastic shopping, a buzzing nightlife along with lots of galleries and museums, it's a lovely city to spend a few days. The quieter villages in the Glasgow area also provide the peace and tranquility of a more rural retreat.
The Scottish Highlands and Hebrides
In summer there are the world famous Highland Games to enjoy. You can catch the many ferries that run from the west coast to the islands of the Inner and Outer Hebrides as well as ferries from Aberdeen to the Orkneys. Golf is a huge part of many people's holiday to the country due to the world class courses that dot the area.
The Highlands is the part of the country which reflects perfectly most people's romantic image of Scotland. One of the main towns is Fort William, which lies in the shadow of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. North from here stretches a dramatic shoreline of deep sea lochs and sheltered coves of pure white sand backed by towering mountains with views across to numerous Hebridean islands. This is a great area to stay if you're looking for total relaxation and the chance to get away from it all.
