Durban

Durban is located on the coast and is the third largest city in South Africa, with a population of over 3 million people. The city is a draw for tourists who are looking to take in the temperate climate and the miles of sandy beaches.

Along the coast you'll find the famous Golden Mile, a 4km stretch of beach with promenades that have a wide range of hotels, restaurants and even pools along them. Along the way you'll find traditional market stalls, skate parks, a surfing museum and even a casino complex - with cinemas and private beaches to enjoy.

Entry to the park will cost around 90R but there are also opportunities to pay a little extra and do a bit of snorkelling and even get close to sharks in caged dives.

Durban is also famous for it's Zulu heritage, and is seen as the gateway to the Zulu Kingdom.
