Polokwane is known as the Place Of Safety, and is the capital city of the Limpopo Province, which borders Zimbabwe, Botswana and Mozambique. The region is famous for its many nature reserves - including the Polokwane Game Reserve (http://www.polokwane.info/polokwane-reserve.html), around 10 minutes away from the city centre.

If you're looking to take in a safari trip in between matches, the Limpopo region has an abundance of opportunities to combine soccer with safari. The Kruger National Park (http://www.krugerpark.co.za/) is one of the largest game reserves in Africa, and is a prime destination for safari tours and hot air balloon rides - both of which give you a fantastic opportunity to view the Big Five (buffalo, lion, leopard, elephant and rhino) in their natural habitat.

The Bakone Malapa Open Air Museum offers the chance to experience traditional African culture, as well as the history of the Bakone people - including craft demonstrations, guided tours of the surrounding grasslands and game viewing areas, as well as the chance to shop for trinkets.

After the match, why not relax in the company of lions at the Ranch Hotel (http://www.theranch.co.za/), whose pride of lions are world renowned, having been featured in many movies and television series. The ranch is famed for its rehabilitation work, and organise game drives as well as give you the chance to get close to, as well as walk with some hand-reared lions - booking is essential to ensure you don't miss out.
