Compare the best Nissi Bay holidays

Close to the exciting resort of Ayia Napa but distanced enough to offer peaceful, sandy beaches, Nissi Bay holidays are popular choices for those looking for a quieter destination or travelling with children.

Why go?

Nissi Bay is ideal for families, thanks to the gently sloping white sands and shallow, warm, calm waters and plenty of activities...

If you're looking for a holiday with some of the best beaches on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, then head to Nissi Bay on the east coast.

The sheltered sea makes it a good spot to learn to dive and there is a full selection of water sports on offer, including snorkelling, paragliding, windsurfing and jet skiing. You could also take a boat trip if you prefer to travel on the water rather than in it.

One of the major tourist attractions is the nearby Greek-mythology-themed WaterWorld Waterpark, which has plenty of rides, slides, pools and flumes to provide a full day of entertainment. Toddler areas make it ideal for all the family.

Another good place to visit for families is the Ocean Aquarium in Ayia Napa, where you will find lots of marine life including sharks and stingrays. There is also a penguin house and an enclosure with crocodiles.

For a taste of the island's culture and history visit the nearby Macronissos Tombs, cut out of solid rock, or visit Ayia Napa to look at the town's ancient monastery, dating to the 16th century.

Nissi Bay has many restaurants and bars but head to Ayia Napa if you want to experience its legendary club scene and nightlife. Given its fantastic climate, cheap holidays in Nissi Bay are a great way to spend a week or two in the sun.
