It's your last chance before Christmas and the long winter to getaway on a package holiday or short break with the kids. So don't waste it and make the most of the October half term holidays to re-charge those batteries and get set for the all shopping, all celebrating weeks to come of November and December. Some early winter sun is what most people will go for, so trips to the Canaries, Caribbean , Florida and Egypt are firm favourites, along with city break, UK holiday parks and stays in a country cottage.
Traditionally the half term break is taken in the last week of the month. However October half term break dates can vary across the country and within regions, so it is always wise to check with your school or education authority for the exact days.
