Overview                    Prepare                    Get Around                    Highlights

Hotels in Ibiza offer a wide range of styles and costs, from the exclusive and often quite secluded luxury hotels, to the relatively inexpensive, lower range hotels, and, despite the island's reputation as a clubber's paradise, there are many family-orientated hotels, too.  Ibiza hotels also extend to small and convivial places, in hidden spots on the island, and in the romantic old capital, and to the kind of hotel that allows an appreciation of the natural beauty of the island.  Many hotels are near to, or right on, one of Ibiza's gorgeous beaches.

San Antonio offers something for everyone, including amazing sunsets....

Talamanca is a quiet resort with a charming bay close to Ibiza town, whilst San Antonio offers something for everyone, including amazing sunsets. Ibiza Town, the island's capital, is perhaps the most fascinating part of the island, and is the centre of the island's famous nightlife.  The island of Ibiza is very quiet in the winter low season, although it is gaining popularity as a winter destination, as well as for its natural beauty.

Hotels will usually be cheaper at this time of year.  However, in the summer high season, it is especially advisable to book your hotel well in advance, as they can become booked up extremely rapidly.  Cheap hotels in Ibiza are best found using our price comparison tool, and by booking early, whichever season you travel in.

Overview

Ibiza, in Spain’s Balearic islands, parties with glamorous Euro trash, clubbers, hippies and sun worshippers in summer. When temperatures cool, the island relaxes with the locals in the rural north and elegant Ibiza old town.

Seaside

Climb the labyrinthine streets of Eivissa (Catalan for Ibiza Town) for bay views from its towering fortress. Swim from the gently sloping Cala Jondal bay or sheltered Cala Martina near the hippy market. Sip cocktails with the stylish on Ses Salines beach or dance barefoot on the sands of Playa d’en Bossa. For a mystical Ibiza experience, watch the sun set behind Es Vedra rock from Playa de Cala d'Hort.

Inland

Discover the Culleram Caves, once a Phoenician shrine to the Goddess Tanit, and the eerie salt flats at Las Salinas. See traces of Moorish Spain in the tiny hamlet of Poblado de Balàfia, near San Lorenzo.

Escape

In the north, the pine hills of the Sierra Grossa slope down to secluded bays and luxurious villas. Walk or dip on peaceful Playa de S’Estanyol near Santa Eularia. Climb the cliffs, flanking offbeat Atlantis beach, sculpted with mermaids to the west. Escape Ibiza with a day trip to neighbouring isle, Formentera.

Adventure

Go parasailing to glimpse San Antonio from above, or charter a boat to uncover the coastline’s hidden nooks. Cycle one of the 12 trails from gentle ambles around San Antonio to the challenging Ibiza Extreme. Quad bike in San Antonio and bump past citrus groves and traditional towns like Santa Inés.

Eat & Drink

Taste traditional favourites like rabbit stew, sardine tortilla or borrida de rajada (potato and ray stew) at country farmhouses, or the catch of the day at seafront restaurants. Nosh posh fish at El Olivio in the Old Town or home-style cooking at exclusive Cana Goana (on the road towards Km5 bar).
