From the UK to Europe and beyond, there are many places to choose for an Easter holiday.
With the date of the Easter holiday varying from year to year it can be difficult to ensure you pick the right location.
If you want a full-on Easter celebration then head to Spain. Seville has its huge Feria with the population of the city dressed in flamenco costume, elegant horses carrying party goers around the city, and a series of religious processions throughout the city in a week long fiesta.
Many other Spanish cities have extensive Easter fiestas and parades, with many centred around cathedrals and churches from the big iconic centres to small local villages.
Alternatively, you could head to the Holy Land and celebrate in a more traditional style in Jerusalem. Or stay in nearby Tel Aviv and make a day trip to the holy city on Good Friday or Easter Sunday.
Easter is also a great time for city breaks. Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Barcelona and Berlin are big hitters for short breaks. However, you can pick just about any other city in Europe, as well as destinations such as New York, Las Vegas and Dubai, for a great Easter holiday.
UK cities also offer a good choice for a short break. From London to Edinburgh and Manchester to Belfast there are many cities and towns to choose from.
For sunshine holidays, the Canaries, Morocco and the Red Sea all offer excellent locations for hotel stays where you can be guaranteed to get a tan. The Mediterranean resorts are only just warming up and unless Easter falls late in April, temperatures may not be as high as you want.
