Stay in the Copthorne Orchid in Singpaore (Clarke Quay), in Melbourne The Lindrum - boutique and in the City Centre. With Fiji you definately want to go to an outer Island like Castaway or Mololo Island or if thats not in your price range, stay at the Hideaway Resort or Outrigger Resort on the main Islands Coral Coast.

Singapore is great, there's plenty of places to stay if you don't mind spending a little money. China Town is a good area to stay, perhaps in the Amara Singapore or Royal Peacock Hotel.

Just back from Perth , Brisbane, Port Douglas, Sydney, and Singapore.

Singapore well worth a visit, we loved it. We stayed at the Furama , Hotel and staff are great, an all round good place to stay.

Don't bother walking far, cabs are so cheap, but allways ask for a reciept.

Dont miss Clarke Quay (good micro brewery) , Zoo and China town, Santosa ok but it's a bit of a building site at the moment, but cable car worth a go !

Some great shopping and food , any more info drop us a line.

    Have fun

The Phoenix hotel in Singapore is excellent and very good value (we thought) and in a good location for public transport. Try Asia Rooms for options and bookings. In Melbourne, try and find somewhere on the inner circle tram route which is free!

    Hi,

I did something similar to this last year, lots of places that you can visit instead of Fiji, I personally went to the Easter Islands but this involved a flight via Santiago. There are some really nice hotels in Singapore but id also suggest looking at a stopover in Dubai which i'm sure you can do with someone like Emirates. I used a travel agency which came highly recommended by a friend and they took care of all the details for me.

    Accomodation in Singapore/Melbourne/Fiji

My wife and I are planning to go to NZ next year and stopping off in Singpaore and Melbourne on the way out and Fiji on the way back. We'd like to stay in 3* plus accommodation. Can anybody recommend any nice places?
