have you looked at http://www.moneysupermarket.com/travelinsurance/ the companies covered in their search is vast and varied. at the same time you can compare each others cover. iam not saying they are the best thing since sliced bread, but some of the policies are very competitivly priced and the cover you get is very favourable to the banks, post office and dare i say it tesco's.

the best impartial thing to do is go to http://www.reviewcentre.com/products696.html independant reviews by holidaymakers on each companies insurance policy. all the big firms are there along with the ones that moneysupermarket quotes for.

or go to google http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=reviews+best+travel+insurance+policy&btnG=Search&meta= theyr'e results are very good.
