    Re: Flights to Fuerteventura

Thanks for your reply, that's very helpful. Sounds like I'd better bite the bullet and book now rather than run the risk!

    Re: Flights to Fuerteventura

Ryanair's history shows that when the pull out of an airport they don't go back, so I wouldn't hold out any hope in that regards. As regards fares, Fuerteventura is still dominated by charter flights rather than low cost operators. Low cost airlines put fares up as the departure approaches, charter airlines reduce fares if they haven't sold all the seats but, and it may be a big 'but' this year, there has been a major cutback of up to 25% in capacity from the two largest operators in the UK and they are trying to make sure fares stay high by reducing the number of flights operating. If they get it right, their fares will go up as the number of seats decreases, if you want to fly from Gatwick you are probably OK to hold on a little while later but if you want a regional airport with only a few flights a week, this year may not be the year to wait too long. Where flights are not selling they are being withdrawn completely in order to keep the profits going in what is clearly going to be a very difficult market

    Flights to Fuerteventura

I'm hoping to go to Fuerteventura in June and I'm looking for cheap flights. The cheapest I've found so far is £185pp. However, if I view flights leaving next week they're about £120pp. Is it worth waiting until nearer the time to book flights in the hope of getting a better deal? I have to pay up front for accommodation so I don't want to risk not being able to get there or paying even more.

Also, does anyone know if there is any chance Ryanair will start flying there again if the dispute gets resolved? I have searched for further news but I haven't been able to find anything.
