Re: travel to japan and New Zealand

    hello

kobe airport http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2432.html only offers domestic flights to tokyo with jal airlines and nippon airways.

you could always book a multi leg flight on the webb, london - tokyo - new zealand - london and arrange a domestic rtn flight from tokyo to kobe.

do you have any spefic dates planned and where do you intend to go in new zealand? also what is your local airport in the UK. i could have a quick look and see what the webb offers you and get back to you within 48hrs. i may or maybe not find something for you, but willing to give it a go.

i would have to have a rough idea on how long you wish to stopover in kobe, new zealand etc....

    kind regards

    jim

    Hi,

I have looked around the internet, and Japan Airlines JAL are the only airline to fly direct to Japan from London, and then onto Auckland in New Zealand. The actual flight from Japan to New Zealand is operated by Air New Zealand however, you book your ticket with JAL still and its just a different airline who operate that leg of the trip. That means you should be able to book all the flights with JAL. It is much cheaper though for you to book seperate tickets with different airlines, but thats upto you. As for the weather, its not so good in New Zealand at that time of year, so later in the year would be better, but i suppose when its cooler its less busy with tourists. Hope thats helped, good luck

    With Regards

October is the end of winter and the beginning of Spring. It will still be cold on the South Island but just beginning to warm up on the North Island. A quick look at the airlines to Japan from the UK throws up BA, JAL and ANA but as far as I can see none of them then fly on to NZ. You might well be advised to see the cost of a round the world fare as ordinary return fares to Japan are very expensive. Your best bet may be Air New Zealand from London to Hong Kong and the a flight return to Japan and back and then onwards from HK to NZ. On your return you could stop at Los Angeles on the same airline. Other than that, you are going to have to back track further to somewhere like Singapore with Singapore Airlines but my advice is to talk to a human travel agent, such as Trailfinders or Airline Network to sort this out rather than try it on the web

travel to japan and New Zealand

Hello - we have a daughter that lives in Kobe in Japan. We want to combine a visit to her and a trip to New Zealand. Is there any airline that flies to both so that we only have to buy one ticket and is there a best time to visit New Zealand - we're thinking of October. Thank you.
