    Have a look at Delta from Heathrow, they had flights as low as £228 only last week. However just a random check for 11th/18th November indeed shows a fare of £350 or so of which they claim £192 is taxes and fees. Remember the UK Airport Departure Tax is going up substantially on November 1st so the fares will be higher after that day anyway.

    Thanks, i hope so...

    Someone at work told me today that it was on the news this morning that prices will be cheap soon due to the reduction in people going on holiday, hope this is true....

    It has all to do with supply and demand but New York is a very competative route, although not from Birmingham since Continental has a monopoly on the route. Providing you are not travelling at Thanksgiving in November, you should get better than £350 for November, wait until September when prices should fall again

    Hi All

    I am planning a trip to new york beginning november this year, i have been checking the flight prices over the last couple of days. prices from bhx or london commenced from only £250 rtn, i have checked today and all flights are costing £350minimum, im shocked in this jump in price, i wish i could have afforded the cheap price but unfortunatly cannot purchase till the end of this month, does anyone know if the prices are due to go down again?
