    Re: Volunteering in Cape Town

    Hi

Any area in the world has both safe and unsafe areas.  I have visited Cape Town and have an excellent experience, however I followed all the guide book advice and avoided certain areas as described and took care to be aware of where I was and through where I was travelling.  This is something I do everywhere I travel as you do need to be adventurous, but careful when doing it.

Try googling the city and area and read the forums on the variety of sites that you will find such as tripadvisor.  You will get lots of personal experiences listed on them which will help.  Also try contacting them direct and asking if they can put you in touch with people volunteering now - they can give you the info you may want to feel comfortable.

    Kind regards

    Bob

    Volunteering in Cape Town

I was going to travel to Cape Town during November and December doing some volunteer work in Baphumelele Childrens Home in Khayletisha.  Im 18 years old and was going to be part of an organization doing volunteer work.  I would really like to know the conditions of these places.
