    Re: Agadir Morocco

Hello. I went to Agadir this may with my partner and stayed in the Royal Atlas, I can definitly recommend the 4X4 excursion, it was amazing, it takes you out into "outback" morrocco, and you get a real taste of culture. We went to a berber village, drove over sand dunes, (veeeeeeery bumpy, but great fun!) stopped at the resevoir and banana plantation, had a traditional morroccon lunch in a village & the list goes on, great value for money. We ventured out onto the promenade, but got hastled quite badly to buy things in the shops, if you as much look at anything they jump on you, we had to walk out of most shops, "browsing" just couldnt be done, i dont think this is a refelction on the Morroccons as such, its just the tourist culture. Agadir is a beautifal place that you have to go and explore.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Agadir Morocco

    Hi Joel

Agadir is a new city, retains a little of the Moroccan charm but is more cosmopolitan than other Moroccan city's.

The old kasbah, the highest point in Agadir with great views is the only part of old Agadir still standing, that is worth taking a look at, along with the souk (biggest in all Morocco).

Popular excursions are Marrakesh/Essaouira and Taroudant. Getting out of new Agadir to see some of old Morocco seems to be the trend, and also trips to the Desert.

We used this tour company [Moroccan Discovery] when we visited Agadir, trips tailored to suit you, on any day you choose, good choice of trips and great prices.

    Agadir Morocco

    Hi All

Going to Agadir later this year, just wondering what the main things to see and do are. Also looking for advice on Excursions, best places to go, cost, what days the Excursions go and who to use.

    Any advice please.
