    Re: Continental Airlines - info

    Hi,

Continental Airlines are the best in the USA as far as i'm concerned. I flew with them from Manchhester to Newark in 2007 and the service was great. They had the best food i'd ever seen on a flight, and the seats were very comfortable with more than enough legroom. As for the entertainment, Continental now operate many UK flights with 757 aircraft, and when i flew with them, the only entertainment was overhead. I do know that they have now completed all of the personal entertainment screens on the 757's now, and the 777's already have great entertainment. The entertainment they offer is great and thats only a part of the 5* service they offer throughout. Overall they offer a great experience for the fares we pay compared to the other US airlines in operation. Enjoy your holiday

    With Regards

    Luke

Of all the american carriers operating out of the UK, Continental are proably the best but it is a question of what you are comparing them to. As against United, American and Northwest, they are streets ahead, the staff actually seem to want to be working which is not the case elsewhere. But unlike UK based airlines, you pay for your alcohol, food is OK but not brilliant but then you don't chose a flight just for the food and they fly out of smaller airports rather than just Heathrow. The only issue I would have is their habit of using 757 narrow body planes when on a long flight I would much prefer something bigger than I normally fly to Manchester in, but in the last 12 months they have put seat back video on all the 757's so although the seat space may not be great, you can at least entertain yourlseves on board.
