We booked what we were led to believe was a 5* all inclusive for May half term. I am not sure what has happened to this hotel between the previous reviews been written and us going there, but the holiday we experienced was certainly nothing like what is written. We are quite easy going, and relaxed, and do not consider ourselves to be too fussy with food.

What we actually got from Jet line was a holiday that was put together piece by piece and sold as a good 5* package. Upon arrival at the hotel, there were no facilites for a drink or any provisions of even water in the room, this was 06.30am after travelling through the night. The hotel had missing safety panes on the stairs. The food, well that was a joke, within the first day, I dreaded the thought of going to the restaurant for meals, the tables were not cleaned for use from previous guests, we had to set the tables to eat. Food consisted of a mixture of the most awful dishes that obviously appeal to Russians and Poles (nothing against them have had many lovely hols in Poland). The Animation Team (previous experiences of them are 100% brilliant) wrong if you are in Greenwood. If you take teenage girls, lock them up or put a chastity belts on them, The animation team are only after the young girls, and their shows are very humiliating for anyone taking part.

The free pool towels, you can only get them at certain times, you have to wait until they turn up, they are always late. The water slide, thats a joke, it operates for 1 hour in a morning, 1 hour in an afternoon. The hotel is clearly saving money, it is poorly lit at night, the air conditioning in your room, is controlled by management, it might as well not be switched on. If you complain to reception, they do not pass messages on, they tell you that you are the only one complaining, do not offer to write complaints out or pass them on. The manager hides away, when confronted is very nice, but does not do what he promises. To keep us sweet they said there would be a surprise in the room, there certainly was, a bowl of fruit from the restaurant, and a bottle of cheap corked wine. It was not uncommon to run out of toilet roll, the cleaners did not leave extras, just as it was very common for the hotel to only have 1 bar open most of the time, and often they would run out of wime or spirits and say there is no more until tomorrow (this is the hazzard of a hotel full of Russians who like to drink).

We contacted Med hotels, who were responsible for our hotel acommodation, basically they did not really want to know, until we all became more persistant and in the end, after telling us to pay more in cash (no receipts) they agreed to move us (3 couples in all), 1 couple stayed they were due to leave soon, and 3 families left the night before meeting with the rep. 8 Belgium families came into the hotel, and within 20 minutes were demading to leave, it was so awful, so as you can see, it is not just us.

We are well travelled in all kinds of holidays from back packing to all inclusive from Europe to asia, so as you can imagine it would take a lot to get us rattled. We did move, and things did improve, but it should not have come to this, we were sold a high standard 5* holiday, what proved to be the worst experience ever, both accommodation and food wise.

The only other diaster we have ever had was a holiday that Med hotels were involved with. I have only ever complained twice now in 22 years of travelling, both occasions happen to be where Med Hotels have been involved.

The main consolation from this was that we made some terrific friends.

I do not plan to go back, one question I would ask your toru operator before booking, if its all inclusive, are their Russians in the hotel. If the answer is yes, you have experienced nothing until you meet them, your nightmares are just about to begin!!!!
