    Re: New York

    Hi Andrew.

Just to say when i visited NY myself in 2007 i was on a small budget, but i managed it so its possible. Instead of going straight to a travel agent i would reccommend that you look online first. A good site for you to try could be www.wefly.com. This site scrapes all of the flight fares and hotel fares to match any requirements, and its often cheaper than looking for a travel agent, also make sure you try this website. Also, look out for travel agent 'price beat' claims. This means that any holidays you find online can be matched on beaten by travel agents, so its good to print any holidays out as proof, so the agent cant refuse. It is possible for them to beat the price too. Depending on were you live, Continental Airlines offer great fares for flights to New York. I would always reccommend these as they gave me a great service when i flew from Manchester to New York. They also fly from cities around the UK so they will probably fly from somewhere near you. Remember just search around for the best deal on the internet, and get the agents to price beat with each other if they will, because it does work! Be aware the travel agents will try to get a deposit however, when i booke, i didnt pay straight away and i booked only 3 0r 4 months in advance, good luck searching. If you need any help looking for fares post again, and i will see what i can do.

    Enjoy your NY experience,

Its an amazing city, honestly its the best place on earth.

    With Regards,

    Luke

    hello

some of the schedules are not out yet for the early part of 2010 and unable to book. rather than going to a travel agent, i would save up for the flights, as soon as you think you have saved enough go online and book (say august or earlier or later), at the same time check online for hotel rooms. some online hotel boking companies dont take a deposit at the booking stage, just pay on check out. one company springs to mind.

as we are all on a budget these days, i find going online gives the best value for money by far. don't be pressurised by travel agents wanting a deposit now. there is still plenty of time for you to get a bargain.

    kind regards

Hi mr partner and i were looking to go to New York early 2010 and wondering if you could recommend some travel agents. We are on a low budget and wanted to book a cheap getaway for about 4-5 days. Looking to book soon to have time to pay off balance.Spoke to travel agents who are asking for a deposit of more than we can afford this month. Do you know any travels agents who do low deposits so we can at least book the holiday at a good price?

    Thanks Andrew
