If so, speak to your credit card company and see if they can help. If you didn't book by credit card, you need to speak to ABTA Claims at: ABTA Claims, PO Box 127, Metro House, Northgate, Chichester PO18 8WQ, Tel: 01243 621 500. I hope that helps. I'm totally confused, me and a friend of mine have got our flight money back but not the hotel money.
I went on flydeals.co.uk who made the accommodation booking for us, and it says they have ceased to trade so contact the tour operator, in our case thats youtravel.
Just spoke to the lady at that company and she said i must contact the company that liquidated flydeals.co.uk, anybody have a clue where the hell i'm supposed to find that?
Please somebody point me in the right direction as i am lost :( !

Well Lizzie hope you have been paid. I had a payment from CAA put into my account in August 2009. Guess what it is not for the full amount, a letter soon arrived settleing my claim.Sent e-mail four weeks ago asking for them to explain the amount guess what no reply. I am down almost £2k due to their negligence not mine. Mark

Hi all, Time is running out if you haven't yet submitted your claim for compensation after the collapse of XL Leisure. You need to submit your claim by this Friday (11th September 2009). Apparently, around 15% of claims that have been submitted are still unsettled, so it's likely that it will be quite be some time before the situation is fully resolved. moneysupermarket.com's deputy editor, Felicity King-Evans gives an update in her latest article: 'Time is running out for XL customers' compensation'. If you haven't already - make sure you get your claims in!

Hi Lizzie ,yours sounds like it should have been more straight forward than mine ,at first they declined mine as one payment had been made by credit card and they said to claim from this but this was another persons payment ,they did make me send bank statements again and i sent a letter with them and stapled each persons docs together so there was no way they could say they didnt have everything ,also i put the claim number on each thing sent ,i also sent my email address and they did email me to say that they expected to settle my claim within the next two weeks,that was last friday ,i would call them again if i were you ,good luck !

yipeee!!!! at last i have finally had settlement from atol ,sent statements last week ,which i had to get from my bank and from another member of the party and they have yesterday paid mine into my account and the other persons into their account both were debit card payments ,just havent paid one payment made by someone else who paid by credit card which i knew would not be paid ,so thankfully all the stress is over for me ,hope everyone else gets sorted soon !

i also have a claim number i paid by cheque and debit card yet they still continue to ask for more of the same info ata cost to me andeither ignore u when u ring i ve sent 5 emailsin 2 weeks no reply or say to me theres a backlog im in a queue!! not good enough

CAA gave me a claim number on 25.11.08. On Thursday I finally got a reply and a letter telling me that because I paid the deposit by credit card and the main holiday by pwesonal cheque I have to go back to the credit card co and claim off them under sectionh 75 of the consumer credit act 1974. I'll guive you a tip telephone them as soon as possible after 9am I did and I got through 1st time good luck

Got letter from atol please fill claim form again! which requires me to request more statements from bank/credit card companies. At xtra cost they already have had two sets of statements. Claim has been in since oct08. How can they treat people like this, and get away with it.

We booked with Travel city direct to go on 12.9.08 the day they went into adminstration put claim in October they issued me a claim number on the 25.11.08 but to date they still have not settled.

im STILL waiting and i need the money so badly its not fair ive sent yet agian all statements they constantly keep asking me for! ive emailed them once a week for months still no reply as of last week
