    Re: travel forum links.

    Hi jim,

Thanks for your feedback and email. I really appreciate it.

I think you're absolutely right - there are a range of things we need to be doing to improve the community forums and giving our readers a clear invitation to sign up a 'get involved' is a top priority.

The main travel site was re-designed recently and a much-improved forum set-up is planned for the future. I have a meeting with our travel team tomorrow where I'll bring your concerns to the table. We'll certainly see what we can do. As always, if there's anything you as a community think we should be doing that we aren't - or simply doing better full-stop - please do drop me an email below and I'll be happy to take that feedback on board and do my best to make it a reality.

Rest assured, we're enthusiastic in making this a great place for everyone to come to for a chat about anything and everything travel-related - whether that's your holiday, flight, car hire, transfer, accommodation, or even if someone is simply looking for some inspiration on where to get away from it all. Holidays are precious little gems - particularly in the current economic climate and something everyone has an opinion on - so let's hear more about these great places to go and what makes them so special.

Thanks, as always, jim for all your excellent contributions and help you freely offer this community. An unsung hero.

    Thanks,
    Graeme,

    travel forum links.

    hello

sorry i have to say it could be difficult for non-members and visitors to write a new post after they have to visited 1. the home page of travelsupermarket.com.

if i were a visitor for the first time i would visit your main page and click on "join the discussion" at the bottom right hand side of your site and then click on "travels & holidays" at no stage is there any notice about registering and then write a "new post" if i wanted to write a new post i would then (if i knew, visit "home page on the forum", click on this)

could you not maybe position these links as soon as someone arrives and visits the forum page.

    regards

    jim

ps i will still continue to visit the forum, even though there is a few glitches. hopefully the site will see more visitors and contributors after you have ironed out these minor problems. cheers jim.
