Any idea for best time in year to visit Portsmouth.

me and my family went to Portsmouth in May for the week we booked an appartment with Cottages 4 You we were near the harbour overlooking the old ships and we could see the Victory from our window we had an fantastic week and would go back the city has been modernised and has loads of shops and attractions for every age a must is the explosion museum and the mary rose  and victory you do have other options and need to allow a full day at least to visit the ships  

Just had the most amazing weekend in Portsmouth & Southsea...

Stayed at the Somerset House hotel

Had Friday night in the honeymoon suite (!!), and Saturday night in the spa room... Stunning rooms, lovely staff, wonderful food - couldn't recommend this place enough

If you are looking to stay in the area, you couldn't want for a more beautiful place to stay

They also have another hotel which is next door, this is called the Florence House hotel... Didn't stay there but had breakfast there and it too looked stunning

If you go, hope you enjoy yourselves as much as we did :)
