There are many reasons why tourists book flights to Bahrain: the tropical climate, the excellent shops, an abundance of ancient sites, beautiful beaches, exciting cuisine, liberal attitudes for the region… whatever your reason, book ahead to find the best deals on flights.

Find cheap flights to Bahrain with TravelSupermarket and start planning your adventure on this archipelago in the Middle East...

Sandwiched between Saudi Arabia and Qatar and washed by the warm waters of the Persian Gulf, the island nation of Bahrain welcomes visitors arriving at Bahrain International Airport (BAH), which is located close to the capital of Manama. While few would argue that Bahrain is as glamorous as near neighbours such as Qatar and Dubai, most would agree that Bahrain’s charms are numerous and diverse and that this is a great place to get your first taste of the Arab world.

The weather is another factor that lures holidaymakers to these shores. It’s hot year round in Bahrain, with average summer highs of nearly 40C. Many visitors choose to fly here for a dose of winter sunshine as average daytime temperatures don’t drop below 21C, even in January. That will certainly add a different colour to those winter blues.

The capital of Manama is the main focus of tourism in Bahrain, though the existing islands – and those currently being crafted to provide even more five-star hotels – welcome many holidaymakers throughout the year. The old capital of Muharraq, where centuries-old architectural beauties stand shoulder to shoulder with luxury beach-side hotels, is another popular holiday spot in Bahrain.

The Fort of Bahrain and the burial mounds of Sar are interesting places to spend a few hours exploring some of the history of the country.

If you are looking for a cheap flight to Bahrain, be sure to book well in advance, especially if you intend to be there in April for the ever-popular Bahrain Grand Prix.
