Flights to Lyon arrive at Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS).
One of the fastest ways to reach the city is the Lyon Express Tram, which runs frequently and takes less than 30 minutes to reach central Lyon. A return ticket costs 26 euros, but can be combined with a Lyon City Card (a return trip to the airport and two-day pass costs 49 euros) for unlimited usage during your break. Under-12s travel at no charge.
A taxi journey between the airport and central Lyon costs around 50 euros.
For destinations outside Lyon, the Lyon-Saint Exupery TGV Station links the airport – a five-minute walk away – to the French rail network (but not Lyon city centre). Coach and minibus shuttle services also take visitors to nearby destinations, such as the ski resorts of Les Deux Alpes and L’Alpe d’Huez (both two hours by coach).
