Direct flights to Milan from Birmingham (BHX) arrive at Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP). This is the main international airport serving Milan. Indirect flights from Birmingham to Milan Linate Airport (LIN) and Milan Bergamo (BGY) are much less frequent and usually more expensive.
The only airline to offer direct Birmingham to Milan flights is Flybe. The average flight time is two hours and five minutes.

Malpensa Airport is just 45 minutes by road from the city centre. A taxi to your hotel will cost around 90 euros.
The Malpensa Express train runs between the airport and central destinations, with a journey time of 30-45 minutes. A single ticket costs 12 euros; a return fare is 18 euros. Coach and bus services are also available. They offer cheaper fares (around 8 euros one-way), though journey times are generally longer than both taxis and trains.
