Yes, this is beach paradise in the east African nation of Kenya...
Located two hours north of Mombasa on the renowned tropical coastline of Kenya, Malindi has been attracting travellers for many years. The resort enjoys a peaceful air, with days spent quietly dozing on the beaches or floating on the gentle waves and evenings that drift into night via the way of a candle-lit meal and a few drinks.
Active types can scratch their itchy feet on trips to nearby nature reserves to spot native wildlife or on journeys underneath the waves to explore some of Africa's finest diving and snorkelling sites. There are also ancient attractions, such as the lost town of Gedi, that are worth exploring.
With fairly constant daytime temperatures of around 30C throughout the year, Malindi is a great location for sun worshippers. Just watch out for higher rainfall between the months of April and July.

The hotel of your dreams is waiting to offer you the warmest of Kenyan welcomes in beautiful Malindi...
Malindi isn't the place to look for cheap hotels on a backpacker's budget. This is a resort that oozes elegance and the luxury hotels that sprawl along the pillow-soft sands are there to fulfil your holiday desires. That doesn't mean that hotels here are outrageously expensive, far from it; you can book hotels in Malindi that cater for a range of budgets by compromising on some of the swankier facilities. But if you do want to splash out you can get rooms in havens of opulence and charm, where top-class spas massage away aches and pains and where Kenyan style blends with classy interior design.
Some hotels in Malindi are smaller, boutique-style hotels, with a limited number of guests but a host of incredible amenities (think private boat trips, waiter service on the beach and tempting small bars and restaurants), while others stretch out along the sands and provide plenty of rooms, pools and facilities.
In Malindi, most hotels offer air conditioning (a must year-round) and many welcome visitors on an all-inclusive basis. Whatever type of hotel you desire, follow your heart as well as your head and use TravelSupermarket to find rooms to suit you.
