With no airport, Monaco is reached either by land or on a helicopter transfer from nearby Nice airport...

The luxury and glamour of arriving by helicopter is more affordable than you may think and the small heliport in Monaco (MCM) is just a seven-minute ride from Nice airport (NCE). Heli Air Monaco offers a regular service throughout the day.

Flights into Nice itself take under two hours from the UK, with many daily departures: British Airways, easyJet, Jet2 all fly non-stop. Connections with Air France, Aer Lingus, Lufthansa and KLM are also easy to make from the UK.

From Nice Cote d'Azur Airport (NCE) there are a number of transportation options...

A return ticket for the airport express bus into Monaco costs 33 euros (about £25), with a journey time of 45 minutes.

Alternatively, travel by taxi and expect to pay between 75 and 90 euros.

Or make like the stars and travel by helicopter to Monaco Heliport (MCM), in Fontvieille. The journey time from Nice to Monaco is just seven minutes. And onward ground transportation is included in the price, which starts from just over 100 euros per person.
