Book flights from Southampton to Seville and spend a few days in one of the most vibrant cities in Spain.
While Barcelona has the architectural showstoppers and Madrid boasts the best museums and shops, Seville is fiery, zesty and undeniably Spanish in its attitudes and its traditions. That is, the Spain we dream of, all finger-clicking flamenco and humble piles of sumptuous tapas.
The capital of Andalusia has more up its red lacy sleeve than dance, food and romance. There’s bullfighting, the magnificent Plaza de Espana, and the Gothic wonder that is Seville Cathedral. The intricate Moorish stylings of the Alcazar are the main draw for many visitors to Seville, especially those with a fondness for ‘Game of Thrones’: shooting locations for season five of the hit TV show are dotted around the region, but the Alcazar doubles as the Water Gardens of Dorne.
