Uganda is easy to reach by plane, with direct flights to Entebbe International Airport (EBB) from London Heathrow (LHR). The airport is located by Lake Victoria, around 25 miles out of the capital of Kampala. Hotels in Kampala are easy to reach using public transport.
When you book cheap flights to Entebbe you can also fly onwards to Arua Airport (RUA), Moyo Airport (OYG) and Gulu Airport (ULU), which are all in the north-west of Uganda.
To get to and from the airports and around Uganda in general, choose from a traditional bus or the more comfortable taxi buses – a type of minibus known as a "matatu". Cheap and frequent, they’re an ideal way to get around.
