With 40 islands tightly scattered across rich turquoise seas, the eight inhabited destinations for holidays in Turks and Caicos are a wonderful playground for anyone wanting to discover the far edges of the Caribbean.
Turks and Caicos Islands holidays offer a series of delightfully welcoming and exciting adventures...
This British territory has a wealth of attributes that set it apart as a premier destination on the world map.
From the minute you set foot off the plane at Providenciales International Airport (PLS), you're met with a wall of warmth – due to the tropical climate and the welcoming people who all seem keen to make sure you have the best time possible. It's the pristine beaches that make the Turks and Caicos Islands stand out that little bit more than some of their neighbours, though. The soft, powdery white sands are met by calm, warm waters – a fusion of the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean – and are regarded as some of the clearest diving conditions on the planet.
Away from the beaches, the diversity of these islands is another big plus point. The eight inhabited islands all have a unique personality and offer varying experiences. The casino and lively bars of Provo and Providenciales of North Caicos, for example, are a far cry from the laid-back Pillory Beach of Grand Turk. This refreshing diversity is also to be found in the islands' shops. Large chains haven't quite made shore here; small, independent traders still rule and you'll find many a bargain in the backstreets where local arts and crafts are displayed.
When it comes to the high-quality restaurants, seafood is usually the speciality. For a great dining experience, grab a table at one of the laidback restaurants right on the beach, before heading back to the luxury hotel, apartment or private villa that is your home during your Turks and Caicos holidays.
Uncover a bargain by using the TravelSupermarket search tool to find great deals on holidays to Turks and Caicos quickly and easily.
*ATOL (Air Travel Organiser's Licence) is a financial protection scheme for package holidays: It provides support to consumers in the event their holiday provider collapses. Booking with an ATOL holder ensures that you won't be left out of pocket and you won't be left stranded abroad. All package holidays compared using TravelSupermarket are protected by ATOL.
ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) offers similar cover for packages booked with its members. However, while ATOL predominantly covers flight-based packages, ABTA covers non-flight based holidays (such as rail and cruise) and linked travel arrangements. If you are unsure whether or not your trip is covered by ABTA, check with your provider.
