Long Night of the Museums; May: Held every May, this brilliant event sees Paris’ museums staying open until midnight, making it perfect for tourists and locals alike.
Paris Gay Pride; June/July TBC: Join more than half a million people gathering at the Marche des Fiertes LGBT in an inspiring, rainbow-rich celebration of tolerance. Expect parties, balls, live concerts and probably far too much booze.
Bastille Day; July 14: Deeply traditional, Bastille Day celebrates the beginning of the French Revolution, kicked off by the storming of the Bastille prison. Fireworks crack through the skies, a military parade marches along the Champs-Elysées and kitschy fun is up for grabs in the firehouses.
