Buy cheap train tickets for the UK
With TrainGenius.com, you can choose to receive your tickets by:
You can collect your tickets for free from over 1,000 National Rail stations that have "Ticket on Departure" machines.
Please also be aware that, if you plan to collect your tickets very early in the morning or late in the day, the station booking office (where Ticket on Departure machines are usually located) may be closed, preventing access to the Ticket on Departure machine.
If the Ticket on Departure machines are not working, please collect your tickets from the station booking office instead (you will still need the same credit / debit card that you used to make your booking and the 8 digit booking confirmation code). If the station does not have a booking office, or if the booking office is closed, please contact us
Tickets can be posted to you by Royal Mail First Class Post, providing you book five or more working days before your outward journey**. If you are booking closer than this to your outward journey, then this option will not be available.
**Please note that in cases of extreme weather, you may have to allow more time for delivery or it may be wise to consider whether Ticket on Departure is a more appropriate option for your journey.
If you book your tickets two or more working days before travel**, then you will have the option of having your tickets delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery™ Next Day.
Providing you book on a working day before 2 p.m. then your tickets will be delivered* before 1 p.m. the next working day.
Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day costs £8.50 and your tickets will arrive in an unmarked envelope, together with a copy of your journey itinerary.
*The Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day service will deliver before 5.30 p.m. for some Aberdeen, Inverness, Perth, Paisley, Kilmarnock, Kirkwall, Hebrides, Shetlands and Guernsey postcodes. For a very small number of islands delivery may take longer.
Please see the Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day website for full details.
Please note that we can only deliver tickets to UK addresses (including the Channel Islands and Isle of Man). Delivery to addresses outside the UK is not possible and you should use the Ticket on Departure option instead
If you have not received your tickets within the times outlined on the Royal Mail website, please contact us.
"Working days" are Mondays to Fridays, with the exceptions listed below. Saturdays and Sundays do not count as working days - if you order at the weekend or on (or just before) a public holiday, please take this into account.
For some journeys we offer the option to print your ticket at home or work (on selected routes)
