TravelSupermarket offers 28 Gatwick hotels with parking to choose from, including three hotels at the terminals, which allow you to walk directly from reception to check-in: the Gatwick Hilton at the South Terminal and the Sofitel and Premier Inn at the North Terminal. You shouldn't feel too limited by the location, however, because the free monorail will take you between terminals in just three minutes. All other nearby hotels at Gatwick require a short bus transfer, or you can book a Gatwick parking and hotel package with a Meet and Greet service.
It's easy to regard the location of hotels at Gatwick airport as the most important factor, but, it's often the parking and transfers to terminals that can make your journey easy or a hassle. We have carefully selected only those Gatwick hotel deals that keep things convenient for you, so you can enjoy your stay, and get to and from the terminals without trouble, knowing your car is in safe hands.
Most Gatwick hotels offer parking facilities on-site, or you can book the hotel together together with an airport parking service at a great price.
Even if you only plan to book airport parking, it's worth comparing prices for a Gatwick hotel and parking deal - sometimes it's better value to stay the night and park cheaply at the hotel than it is to only book parking itself. Compare prices and services by clicking on 'Airport hotels with parking' and entering the dates you require.
Car parking is in such demand that you won't find any hotels close to Gatwick which offer free parking - they don't usually have the capacity to offer long-stay parking, but those that do will charge you for it. By booking these together in advance with TravelSupermarket, however, some packages can offer parking virtually for free. Here are your options:
Hotel/onsite parking: A few hotels such as the Holiday Inn, The Little Foxes, Copthorne Hotel and Stanhill Court are able to provide parking for the duration of your trip on-site, within the hotel car park, however, this is not a common option among hotels at Gatwick, simply because most don't have the space to provide this. It's a convenient option, saving you from moving your car on the day of your flight, but you should check transfer arrangements and how this measures up with other options. Sometimes there is a small, additional charge to get a shuttle bus from these hotels, and running times might not be as frequent as those of a dedicated Park and Ride service - have a read of the details after you have entered your travel dates.
Park and ride: Some Gatwick hotels can be packaged with a Park and Ride parking service. This means you need to drive to the car park on the morning of your flight and from there you can take a transfer bus at no extra cost. Getting to and from the airport is a slick operation with Park and Ride if you don't mind the short drive from your hotel.
VIP/Meet and Greet: This can sometimes cost a few pounds more, but is often the most convenient parking option. Sometimes this means your car is collected from the hotel and sometimes it means being collected from the airport terminal - this depends on which hotel you book (details are explained beside the quote for each). This is a popular choice if you don't mind leaving your car keys with the company. TravelSupermarket only sells Meet and Greet services with reputable firms who offer insured, professional drivers and secure parking facilities.
For the ultimate in convenience, there are three Gatwick hotels located opposite a terminal: The Hilton, The Sofitel and the Premier Inn North Terminal. You can book these as a room-only deal or a money-saving hotel and parking deal. If you need parking too, you'll find the cheapest deals by combining both in a single booking through TravelSupermarket. We have a few different options for these hotels - once you have entered your dates, take time to read the car parking services available for each. We are happy to recommend all options, but prices vary and you can save a few more pounds if you're just as happy with one service as another.
Gatwick hotels at the North Terminal:
Gatwick hotels at the South Terminal:
We recommend reading through and comparing these options and prices on the next page once you have entered the dates you require but, in summary, you will find a choice of three different parking options across these three Gatwick Terminal hotels:
This option requires you to leave your car keys with hotel staff who will move your car to a secure parking facility nearby for the duration of your trip. When you return to the hotel at the end of your trip, your car will be ready for you at the hotel.
Meet and Greet
This is effectively the same service as the above, but it will be operated by a dedicated parking company so your contact will be different. They should still meet you at the hotel to collect your car and will have it waiting for you when you return.
Park and Ride
If you choose this option we will package your hotel booking with another parking provider - usually Purple Parking. The car park will be located elsewhere and the recommended procedure is usually to drive directly to the car park and catch the free transfer bus to the airport terminal where you can then walk to your hotel. At the end of your trip, you then catch the same bus back to the car park. This is often the cheapest Gatwick hotel with parking option, simply because it takes a little longer.
The Courtyard by Marriott hotel at Gatwick airport is also located on-site near the South Terminal. You can walk to and from the terminal in about 10 minutes, but we recommend catching the transfer bus which will get you there in just three minutes - this is an extra £3 per passenger each way, although children under 12 go free. This hotel offers a VIP parking service which requires you to leave your car keys with staff who will move it to a secure car park nearby for the duration of your holiday. They will then bring it back to the hotel ready for your return journey.
All of our airport hotels and parking at Gatwick are within a short distance of the airport grounds, but transfer times and frequency vary and only some can be booked with a Meet and Greet service. As such, in order to choose the right hotel we recommend you read and understand exactly how you're going to get to and from the airport.
Our hotels close to Gatwick Airport come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and cater for most budgets. Great-value 'budget' hotels such as the Gatwick Britannia Lodge, the Russ Hill, the Ibis and the Europa hotel all offer comfortable stays and the essential requirements. We have chosen these nearby hotels because we are still able to offer a convenient parking arrangement together with these hotels should you need it. Lower prices for airport hotels are often determined by their distance from the airport and the time it takes to get to the terminal, rather than the quality of the hotel and rooms.
You'll find that the area is filled with four and five-star hotels which offer the perfect opportunity to enter holiday-mode early, and these hotels often serve up some of the biggest savings. Names such as the Hilton and Sofitel offer wonderful stays and can be booked with TravelSupermarket together with parking and a choice of added extras such as breakfast, meals and room upgrades at a discount. This is an opportunity to kick off your holiday a day early, rather than this part of your trip being merely a prelude to the fun bit!
A Gatwick hotel needn't simply be about convenience; if you're not excited at the concept of an airport hotel but would rather stay somewhere quieter with a touch of character, we also sell country houses and guesthouses nearby, as an alternative to the proliferation of chain hotels. We are happy to offer The Acorn Lodge, The Gatwick White House and The Little Foxes Hotel, each of which turn the idea of an airport hotel upon its head, offering a more rural and cosy stay. If this sounds like your cup of tea, take a moment to read a little more about each hotel.
You can find out more about each hotel at Gatwick when you enter your dates at the top of this page to check prices and availability. We will be adding more detailed information about each hotel below soon, but for now please continue to use the 'Search' function above.
