Heathrow Airport lounges are ideal for travellers who want to enjoy the high life before taking to the skies...
There's no doubt about it, getting ready for air travel can often be a stressful experience. Getting to the airport is one thing, then you've got to check in (praying your luggage isn't overweight), go through security (belts and boots off, laptops out), and even if you aren't trying to entertain children, there's still a struggle with bags and the attempt to find a comfortable place to sit to while away the time.
Take a different approach to your pre-flight experience: get there nice and early and whisk through security to the supreme luxury of a Heathrow VIP lounge. It doesn't matter which airline you are travelling with or in which direction you'll turn when you step aboard the plane - you don't have to travel in first class to get the first-class treatment at Heathrow.
For a reasonable low price, you and your travelling companions can make the most of the many benefits of an airport lounge. From complimentary food and drinks to free wi-fi and a selection of reading materials, each affordable lounge offers the chance to start your holiday in style and in peaceful surroundings.
It's worth checking your ticket to see if you can gain access to one of the airline lounges at Heathrow - these are usually reserved for passengers in premium cabins and frequent flyers. The facilities are likely to differ from those in the pre-bookable airport lounges, so priority passengers may still wish to reserve a spot in one of the excellent airport lounges.
What are you waiting for? We've rounded up the airport's best lounges according to the terminal you'll be flying from. When you've found your dream lounge, run a search on TravelSupermarket and find a low price for entry - pre-booking online saves money on the price you would pay if you were to simply turn up.
You can also use our search tool to see the cheapest rates for parking at Heathrow Airport. We have a range of superb Heathrow Airport hotels too, should the desire to start your holiday a day early prove too much to resist (or you just want to avoid the M25 in the hours before you fly).

The Plaza Premium Lounge at T2 is the first foray into Europe for this premium brand, which has a large presence in Asia and the Middle East. Comfortable, sleek and elegant, this luxury space includes private areas for ultimate relaxation, a spa, shower rooms and Champagne and tapas bars.
All the usual benefits are here - free wi-fi, complimentary food and drinks, newspapers and magazines - though the impression of supreme luxury is evident throughout. This experience costs more than most lounges, but it's perfect for those who wish to indulge. The lounge is open daily from 5am until 11pm.
Discover your options at Heathrow's busiest terminal...
More than 15 million passengers flow through Terminal 3 each year and there are two superb lounge options for those who plan to unwind in style before boarding.
The No. 1 Traveller Lounge Heathrow is an elegant space with armchairs and sofas that guests can sink into. There is a quiet room, a spa, a games room and children's area, a cinema and a bistro-style service for freshly prepared food. Spa treatments cost extra, as does access to the bedrooms available via the lounge. Opening hours are between 4.30am and 10.30pm and children of all ages are welcome.
The Servisair Lounge at Terminal 3 offers a cheaper lounge facility, though the amenities are also excellent. Enjoy runway views as you help yourself to snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages. This lounge opens at 5.45am and closes at 10pm.
There is one option at Terminal 4, though it certainly will impress. Find out more...
The SkyTeam lounge is uber stylish and offers a heap of special extras. There's an oxygen bar, a wine bar, a spa, massage chairs and day beds in the relaxing quiet area. The business area caters for any work needs and everyone can make use of free wi-fi.
Families with children of all ages are welcome in the SkyTeam lounge, with games consoles guaranteed to help kids and teens pass the time before take-off (tearing them away before the final boarding call is the hard bit). The lounge opens at 5am and closes at 10pm.
There are no pre-bookable lounges at T5...
