Types of Airport Parking service
There are a variety of ways to park your car at the airport, depending on your needs, below you can see an outline of them to help you make a choice.
On-Airport Official Car Parks
There's no need to pay for airport parking on the day even if you plan to use the official on-airport car parks. Booking in advance with TravelSupermarket will save you money on Long Stay and Short Stay car parks within the airport grounds. We ask for your car registration number which is recognised on entry at some locations so, when you leave, no more payments are required - your ticket will acknowledge your booking with TravelSupermarket. At other locations, you will need to present your booking confirmation which we send to you as soon as your reservation is processed.
Park and Ride
Most airport car parks operate a park and ride service and this is often the cheapest option available. As well as the official airport car parks, with TravelSupermarket, you can compare some independent parking providers to nab yourself the best deal. Many of these parking operators are also located inside the airport grounds or are on a perimeter road on the outskirts of the airport. This means transfers with any airport parking you book with us are kept to a respectable time - we know the last thing you need is a lengthy journey at the end of your holiday
Meet and Greet/Valet Parking
A very popular option with our customers, especially those with a lot of baggage or with elderly passengers, is a Meet and Greet service. We have a choice of Meet and Greet airport parking providers which we have vetted and can promise a 1st class parking experience. Procedures vary slightly but usually you will drive directly to the terminal and pull into a dedicated parking bay within just a few steps of the terminal entrance. A fully-insured chauffeur driver will meet you there, check your booking confirmation and take your car keys. You can walk to check-in while they drive your car just a short distance to the secured car park where it will stay for the duration of your trip!
When you return, your car will be brought back to the terminal so you can step out of arrivals, straight into your car and make your way home without any delays. Perfect!
Hotels with parking
Anyone whos ever caught an early flight will be familiar with struggling out of bed before dawn and fighting their way through traffic with an extra-strong cup of coffee to hand. Wouldnt it be nice to roll out of bed and find yourself at the airport? You can do just that by staying at an airport hotel. Why drive past a row of great hotels at 5am when you could be tucked up in bed in one of their rooms?
Hotel parking or airport parking
Some airport hotels will have enough space to accommodate your car for the duration of your trip, whilst others will store it overnight in their car park and then, in the morning, you will need to drive to a nearby airport car park. Some travellers prefer not to have to move their car once parked at the airport - others prefer the convenience of using a car park at the terminal or which offers more frequent transfers. We recommend you check the details of the hotel parking and our airport hotel with parking packages and compare the details. We explain exactly how they work throughout the booking process and confirm it again once you have chosen the service you want.
