there's plenty of choice at Gatwick Airport.
If you want to be close to the terminal and/or are only going away for a few days, pre-book a space at the short-stay car park.
It's a five-minute walk to the terminal and it's covered, so there's no need to pack a brolly.
If you're after convenience, book a meet and greet. A chauffeur will meet you at a dedicated valet parking bay in the short-stay car park and register your arrival.
Then you can head straight to the terminal. When you return, your car will be ready and waiting for you.
Your options include Airparks and Maple Parking Meet and Greet, two independent and approved companies. They service both north and south terminals.
Long-stay parking at Gatwick Airport is a cheap option and ideal if you're going on holiday for more than a few days.
There is a long-stay car park at both the north and south terminals. A free shuttle bus at each car park will transfer you to the terminal (5-10 minutes for the south terminal, 7-12 minutes for the north).
If you're keen to avoid the stress of busy roads, park and ride might suit you better. Purple Parking is a popular choice and transfers run every 20 minutes. It takes around 10 minutes to get to both north and south terminals.
APH is another park and ride operator. A transfer will get you to the airport in around 10-12 minutes.
Both services have staff who'll park your car for you while you catch the shuttle bus.
Gatwick Airport is divided into two terminals, Gatwick North and Gatwick South. A monorail service runs between the two.
There's dedicated short-stay parking within easy walking distance of each terminal, while the long-stay car parks are a shuttle bus ride away.

Gatwick Airport's official car parks hold the 'Park Mark', a security award for parking facilities that are accredited by the police. Theres 24-hour CCTV to put your mind at ease.
You can check the security measures taken at any of the other car parks before you book, with most having regular patrols, entry and exit barriers and fencing.

The Holiday Inn London Gatwick Airport is a mile away from both terminals. With large four-bed rooms, It's a good choice for families. You'll drop off your car at the hotel and it will be moved to a secure car park for the duration of your trip. A shuttle bus will get you to the airport in around 10 minutes.
The four-star Hilton Gatwick Hotel is connected to the south terminal and is a short monorail journey from the north terminal. Purple Parking is included so you can drop your car off, take the shuttle to the south terminal and enjoy a cocktail in the hotel bar to get you in the holiday spirit.
