The rock forms the northern side of a hill, known as the Hyden Rock. The rock is of cultural significance to the Aboriginal population and attracts more than 140,000 tourists each year.
Another popular attraction is the Monkey Mia resort, a dolphin resort near Shark Bay, to the north of Perth. The resort is an 800km drive from Perth, but it is well worth the trip for anyone who appreciates beautiful waters and rich wildlife. Monkey Mia is home to many bottlenose dolphins and visitors can watch feedings and get up-close and personal with these beautiful creatures.
