With over 3,500 miles of coastline, bucketloads of tried-and-tested resort towns and almost endless sun, Spain serves up a wide variety of holiday experiences. To help narrow your search, here are a few of our favourite spots.
Torremolinos
For pristine beaches and nightlife that’s kind to your wallet, stay in Torremolinos. Book a beachfront all-inclusive here for a room with a view, easy access to the golden shores, all-day entertainment, and pools, pools, pools.
Salou
Salou is home to some of the best Blue Flag beaches on Spain’s east coast. Seafront pools and suntrap terraces give you plenty of reasons to remain in-resort. But attractions such as Aquopolis, the PortAventura Theme Park and Ferrari Land will likely tear you away.
Calpe
Head for Calpe to explore its authentic old town, ancient Roman and mediaeval sites, unspoiled beaches and famous rock formations. That’s when you’re not relaxing in the spa or propping up the pool bar in your all-inclusive resort, of course.
Marbella
Upmarket Marbella is Spain’s go-to for a classier sojourn in the sun. When you’re not partying in the luxury Puerto Banús marina or shopping for sun hats in the old town, slip into your resort spa for a soothing massage or sip cocktails in your seaview pool.
1 / 2
Spain has not only some of Europe’s best beaches, but the world’s best, too. That so many are lined with all-inclusive resorts makes it perfect for an affordable, convenient and beautiful break by the shore.
Costa Brava ticks all the boxes for all-inclusive comfort and convenience on the coast. Book a beachside resort to swim and sun yourself on the sands, and eat your way around the Med without leaving your hotel. To spend a day away from your fellow sunbathers, head for the scarcely-explored Smuggler’s Cove.
Near Spain’s southern tip, Costa de la Luz serves up year-round sunshine, striking Atlantic sunsets and a delightfully serene day at the beach. Spend your days by your oceanfront pool or use your all-inclusive resort as a base to explore the ancient city of Cádiz or trek the Andalucian hills.
For wild watersports, lines of sun loungers and sheltered beach picnics, the 120 miles (193km) of glittering coastline around Costa Blanca is a win. There’s just as much all-inclusive choice, too. Think water parks, seafront restaurants, indulgent spas and live open air shows.

Long stretches of golden sand for days at the beach, busy resort towns to explore, theme parks and water parks aplenty – and all-inclusive resorts packed with activity clubs and entertainment for all ages. Spain is built for family holidays.
The Costa del Sol has your next family holiday covered. Spas, rooftop pools, watersports, splash parks and babysitting services are all available in-resort. If you fancy a little more adventure, you can take in cave tours, ancient cities and dolphin spotting, all right on your doorstep.
Costa Dorada does a great line in family holidays too. Think Balinese beds, private pools and traditional spas for grown-up downtime, and chutes, flumes and kids’ clubs to keep the youngsters happy. For a pleasant family day out, borrow bikes to explore the beachfront, vineyards and valleys.
Cheap, cheerful and great for kids, Benidorm takes some beating for a fly-and-flop wonder of a holiday. With more pools than you can shake a lilo at, round-the-clock entertainment, in-resort aqua parks, rooftop bars and an abundance of Blue Flag beaches, it more than deserves a second look.
