Cheap all-inclusive holidays are easy to come by – if you know where to look. From Spain to Bulgaria, here’s where to go.

Dominican Republic: Looking for a far-flung all-inclusive break that won’t blow out your budget? Try the Dominican Republic. Compared to other Caribbean countries, it’s relatively cheap – and that extends to its resorts too, especially in popular Punta Cana.

Cancun: Cancun, on Mexico’s dreamy Caribbean coast, is an all-inclusive mecca. You’ll find all-inclusive resorts that cater to all types of travellers in its Zone Hotelera (Hotel Zone). The one thing they have in common? Many have direct access to Cancun’s stunning sandy beaches.

Barbados: An all-inclusive beach break to Barbados is just what you’ll need come winter in the UK. It’s sunniest between December and April – perfect for sunbathing on the sand. Look to the island’s west coast for a good range of all-inclusive resorts.

Costa del Sol: This Spanish region needs no introduction – it’s been a hit with family for decades. A string of all-inclusive resorts hugs the coastline from Malaga to Estepona but families flock to the resorts around Fuengirola and laidback Nerja.

Antalya: All-inclusive resorts go all out for kids in Turkey’s Antalya region, and you’ll find options with on-site waterparks and amusement parks, craft workshops and even bowling alleys. The area around Lara Beach is a good pick for families.

Algarve: The Algarve is wonderful for families, with kid-friendly all-inclusive resorts taking up a sizeable chunk of its golden coastline. Check out the resorts between Lagos and Quarteira for good deals, exciting activities and food the whole family will enjoy.

Dubai: Larger-than-life Dubai is made for swanky getaways, and you’ll find the best of them on Palm Jumeirah. Maldives: All white-sand beaches and clear turquoise waters, the Maldives is like stepping into a postcard. Private resort islands – that’s an island hosting just one resort – are common here, making all-inclusive a popular choice. Choose an over-water villa and embrace that paradise island vibe.

St Lucia: If you’re seeking a five-star all-inclusive holiday in the Caribbean, St Lucia is it. When you tot up the separate costs of everything you get, all-inclusive holidays can be amazing value for money – especially if you just want to relax by the pool and make the most of your resort’s offerings. However, if you prefer to get out and about to explore your destination or try local restaurants and bars, all-inclusive might not be for you.
