If you need to travel during peak holiday times, booking your all-inclusive holiday as early as possible means you can take advantage of early discounts, such as room upgrades, free child places or free additional nights. Booking early means you’ll also have your choice of rooms and resorts.
Stick to the shoulder or off-seasons and you may be able to score a great last-minute deal, as holiday operators try to fill any remaining spaces. Signing up to travel newsletters will help you be among the first to find the bargains.
Are there all-inclusive holidays with free child places?
Yes, there are plenty of all-inclusive holidays with free child places available. To stand the best chance of finding them, look for dedicated ‘free child place finders’ on your holiday provider’s website.
What is all-inclusive plus?
Some holiday operators offer all-inclusive plus holidays, which usually means premium alcoholic drinks are included in addition to your meals, snacks and other beverages. At some resorts, you may also get other perks, such as treats from your minibar, additional dining options, 24-hour room service or free activities. Check before you book.
Will I have to pay for extras?
All-inclusive holidays include most activities and food at your resort. However, you usually need to pay for things such as spa treatments, premium alcohol and food options, and off-site tours and excursions. Watersports are generally included but some resorts may charge a fee for motorised activities.
Should I bring any money with me?
Although most of your holiday costs are covered upfront on an all-inclusive holiday – and any extras will be charged to your debit or credit card – we recommend bringing a little cash with you. It can come in handy if you decide to leave the resort on a day trip or want to buy some souvenirs. And while tips are included on most all-inclusive package holidays, you may want to tip for exceptional service.
How do I make sure my all-inclusive holiday is protected?
The ATOL scheme for package holidays – whether they’re all-inclusive or not – will protect you should your holiday company collapse. All holidays on TravelSupermarket are protected by ATOL.
