Top all-inclusive resort towns in Sardinia

Resorts in Sardinia, which range from family-friendly spots to romantic retreats, have one thing in common – superb scenery. From sublime beaches and lagoons to historic towns and a mountainous interior, this is an exceptionally pretty destination.

Budoni

Budoni, which is home to the all-inclusive Club Hotel Marina Seada Beach, is a top seaside resort for nightlife, especially in the summer when festivities ramp up around the village. There’s plenty of culture, too. Visit at the end of August for the processions and rites of the Patronal Festival, and explore the nearby Domus de Janas Agliola, a collection of ancient underground tombs.

Orosei

With its dramatic cliffs and sparkling coastline, Orosei is a beautiful beach resort rich in culture. The village is peppered with old churches, including the Baroque San Giacomo Maggiore, and traditional shops selling Sardinian crafts. Stay in an all-inclusive resort near the beach for access to a pool, Sardinian food and bike rentals for trips into town.

Villasimius

Stay in Villasimius for the surrounding white-sand beaches, ancient sites and proximity to the Sardinian capital Cagliari. Nearby Capo Carbonara is part of a marine park, home to a fortress and a colony of pink flamingos – hop on a boat trip for a chance to spot dolphins.

All-inclusive holidays for families in Sardinia

With ample safe, clean beaches and a range of family-friendly resorts to choose from — not to mention thrilling history and crowd-pleasing cuisine — it’s easy to make memories with the little ones on an all-inclusive holiday to Sardinia.

Villasimius is a great choice for families, with lots to do in resort and beyond. The all-inclusive Calaserena Village, for instance, features pool areas, access to a dedicated beach (Serenella Beach), kids’ clubs aimed at different ages, and a plethora of watersports. You can also take day trips to the capital Cagliari and tour historic sites – just ask the hotel staff to organise transport.

For high-end hotels, check out the area around Costa Smeralda in the north. Many offer babysitting services and playgrounds to entertain the little ones, allowing you to escape to the beach, take a yoga class or decompress in the sauna. This part of Sardinia is comparatively developed, with more upmarket shops and restaurants than other resorts.

Orosei is another strong option for families, with all-inclusive resort Sentido Orosei Beach providing entertainment for the whole crew – think kids’ clubs, bowling greens, tennis courts and evening shows for parents. You’re mere minutes from the beach here, with nearby hiking routes worth trying out too.

All-inclusive beach holidays in Sardinia

From seemingly deserted idyllic coves to long strips of white sand with sun loungers, parasols and beachfront restaurants, Sardinia’s stunning beaches offer variety.

Orosei, on the eastern shores of the island, is known for its cliff-backed, postcard-perfect beaches – and it’s here you might get a tiny bay all to yourself (particularly outside peak summer months).

Stay at the Sentido Orosei Beach for an all-inclusive experience just a short walk from Su Barone, a beach with golden sands and clear waters. With your resort taking care of everything from food and drink to activities, you can relax in the sun without a care in the world.

Meanwhile, the west-facing Spiaggia di Campulongu, in Villasimius, is the perfect spot for sundowners. The clear, shallow water is safe for swimming and snorkelling, while windsurfers can catch a breeze further out. Many hotels are located around the beach, providing a convenient base for enjoying this stunning stretch of coastline.

In the north east of Sardinia, Budoni’s main beach, Cala di Budoni, is one of many white-sand beaches around the resort. The shallows make for calm swimming conditions, while windsurfing, diving and snorkelling are all possible in the area.
