Still somewhat an under-the-radar destination, Montenegro is a charming Balkan gem for an all-inclusive holiday. Discover winning beaches along its Adriatic coastline, spectacular mountains and lakes as you head inland, and extraordinary history and culture throughout. And because Montenegro is more off-the-beaten-track than its neighbours, cheap holidays here are easy to find.

From wellness destinations and party towns to picturesque hideaways and coastal retreats, a holiday to Montenegro has something for everyone. Here are a few destinations to consider for an all-inclusive stay.
Budva
The country’s most popular resort, Budva is famous for its gorgeous old town, the beaches of the picturesque Budva Riviera, and a vibrant nightlife scene. One option for an all-inclusive stay in the town is the family-friendly Slovenska Plaža Resort, where you can enjoy swimming pools, tennis courts, evening entertainment and a gorgeous beach.
Bečići
For a quieter all-inclusive experience that places you right next to the coast, consider Bečići, a small town close to Budva. Resorts here offer all the perks you need for a fuss-free holiday, from spacious rooms and an abundance of food and drink to playrooms and pools to keep everyone busy – and all moments from the beach, too.
Tivat
Arguably the swankiest town in Montenegro (it’s often compared to Monaco), Tivat, which sits between the mountains and the sea, makes for a lovely getaway for couples. The marina, Porto Montenegro, is where you’ll find the action – think chic restaurants, bars and shops, as well as a park and museum. And yes, there are also plenty of super yachts to admire.

Montenegro is a great destination for an all-inclusive family holiday, with lots to do in your resort and further afield, and without the summer crowds of neighbouring Croatia.
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay that caters to all ages, you can’t go far wrong with the ever-popular Budva. Consider an all-inclusive like Slovenska Plaža Resort, which runs a dedicated programme of activities and entertainment for youngsters and has a supervised play area — allowing you some me-time by the pool. And when you all want to hang out together, head to the nearby beach for some fun in the sun.
Bečići is another ideal base for an all-inclusive family holiday, especially if you’re keen on staying somewhere a little more tranquil. Resorts here are very family-friendly, with activities, games and spaces for kids from the ages of four-to-seventeen, not to mention saunas, steam rooms and more for older guests.
Further afield in Montenegro, families with older children can go hiking in the mountains or visit Lake Skadar for kayaking and freshwater swimming. If you’re feeling adventurous, try rafting in the Tara River Canyon in Durmitor National Park.

An all-inclusive beach holiday to Montenegro is a winner for families, friends and couples alike. With everything taken care of at your resort, you can enjoy all the sun, sea and sand you want.
For lively beaches with a party vibe, look for an all-inclusive hotel near the shores of Budva. Some beaches, like Kamenovo and Ploče, are known for their bars, foam parties and DJ sessions.
The Budva Riviera has plenty of quieter spots, too – even Ploče has a more serene side away from the pool bar. Sveti Nikola, a small uninhabited island on which deer roam, is a short ferry ride across the water.
Montenegro’s coastline is also known for its healing properties. The sea mud in the small town of Igalo is said to help heal ailments, from muscle aches to skin conditions. While there are spas offering specialised mud treatments here, it’s free to just scoop it up from Blatna beach and apply it yourself.
Ulcinj is another town with an interesting wellness slant – the water at the women’s nudist beach is said by some to boost female fertility. Being so close to Albania, and with a mostly Albanian population, it also offers a little taste of the neighbouring Balkan country.
